Chalet Lightweight Trailers

Chalet Lightweight TrailersChalet RV was established in Albany, Oregon in 1998 and is still located there to this day. They are a private, family run company and they employ around 35 people. The motto found on Chalet’s website is, “Freedom, Adventure, Comfort.” Chalet specializes in truck campers and travel trailers, but it also manufactures folding trailers and is working on production of two fifth wheels. Chalet RV’s products are designed very appealing, with well insulated sides providing four-season camping with ease.

The Takena travel trailer is the industry leader in lightweight designs, built with durable, high quality materials and ample storage space. Takena travel trailers are manufactured with vacuum bonded walls and constructed with welded aluminum framing. Insulated, light–weight, with a vacuum bonded composite floor, w/vapor barrier, the Takena also has a seamless TPO vinyl roof and front/rear stabilizer jacks and pads. Their frames are built with high–strength, light weight alloys and powder coated for enhanced rust protection using a tandem axle. The innovative structural composite flooring doesn’t rot or swell and it’s lighter and more rigid than typical RV wood flooring. Most of Chalet’s models can be towed with the average mid–sized SUV or mini–van and are less than 3,000 lbs. when fully loaded! The Chalet Curv is their smallest lightweight and it comes in around 1,830 lbs. dry weight. It comes with a dry bathroom, sleeps 2 and can be towed by a smaller vehicle. They have 4 other models to choose from.
