Escape Trailers are Lightweight
Escape Trailer Industries, located in Chilliwack, BC is in its ninth season building Escape trailers. Starting with a young energetic couple who had a vision, in 2001 Escape rented a chicken barn which had been previously leased to a local camper manufacturing company. They hired their first staff member and were officially in the fiberglass trailer industry. It wasn’t long before they moved and brought their fiberglass and welding shops on site in order to have more control in the quality of the Escape product.
Owners Reace and Tammy Harmatiuk tell us, “We began manufacturing in 2003 and at that time produced only one model of a molded fiberglass trailer which was the 17’ Escape travel trailer. This trailer was available in two floorplans; one with a bathroom and one without. We were very fortunate to have the support of the local RV industry as many professionals provided us with contacts and feedback as we laid the groundwork for selling factory direct rather than through a dealer network.”
