Jayco, Inc. is one of the largest manufacturers of travel trailers, fifth wheels and Class A and C motorhomes. Located in Middlebury, Indiana, Jayco was founded in 1968 by Lloyd J. Bontrager who felt he could build a better RV and a better company. Today the company is still owned and operated by the Bontrager family and almost 1,600 employees are part of the “Jayco family.”
Jayco, Inc. is the largest privately-held manufacturer of recreational vehicles in North America. The company makes and markets, Jayco RVs under the Jay Series, Baja, Select, Jay Flight, Jay Feather, Eagle, Octane ZX, Designer, Greyhawk, Precept, Melbourne, Seneca, Embark, and Insignia nameplates. The White Hawk is the newest product in the light weight trailer category.
Last year, 2011, Jayco was the first major RV manufacturer to be 100% green certified and fully-recognized for building products with green manufacturing processes and materials by TRA Certification Inc., an internationally accredited certification organization.
