Lance Lightweight Trailers

Lance Lightweight TrailersLance Camper Manufacturing Corporation started back in 1965 when Richard Murray started M&M Trailer Supply in North Hollywood, California. Murray later changed the company name from M&M to Lance, and was selling Lance campers factory direct. Early on Lance became a well-known name in the truck camper industry. The company started building travel trailers in 2010, using state of the art technologies and light-weight materials from the ground up. Lance trailers are becoming more and more popular because of their light weight and focus on quality construction from the company.

Jack Cole, now President of Lance Camper, joined Lance and soon was a vital component of the company, becoming an important part of the organization. When the energy crisis of the ’70s hit and business was hard to find for the RV industry, both Ron and Richard decided to move from Southern California. Jack Cole then purchased the company from them and Lance tells us, “The company has grown ever since, initiating almost every innovative feature seen in today’s modern truck camper. The company has maintained its dominance not only in California, but throughout North America, and has nearly a 40% market share today.”

Lance introduces their Lance Travel Trailer 1575 in 2012, which has a 3,500 lb. tow rate. The company tells us they spent endless hours of research in order to develop a product that meets the needs of RVers who use a small truck or SUV for towing. Manufactured with a laminated fiberglass bonded exterior, foamed insulation, an aluminum framed floor, ceiling and walls, one slideout, and a dry weight of 2480 pounds, the Lance has an interior height of 78” and an overall exterior length of 19’ 6”. The kitchen has a 3-burner stove, 3-way refrigerator, laminated countertops, and a booth dinette. The bath has a skylight, tub and shower. The interior is finished with a decor palette that brings out colors of nature.

In addition for 2012, Lance has built the 2012 Lance Travel Trailer 2385, which features their biggest slide-out creating a large interior and floor space for a queen bed and dinette. The Lance 2385 is built with the same lightweight components as the Lance 1575 and the Lance 2012 Lance Travel Trailer 1885, another all-new Lance lightweight tow travel trailer. The trailers are just three of eight travel trailers lance is producing for 2012.
