In July of 2006, two RV industry veterans, Tom Powell and Dane Found, began Pacific Coachworks, with the aim to produce travel trailers and fifth wheels focused on excellence in construction and design. Their original looks combine classic and new floorplans for the Tango and Twist line up of fifth wheels and travel trailers. Pacific Coachworks is a privately owned and operated company that prides itself on creating new and exciting units that reflect what their consumers want. We had not rated this company previously, due to the fact that their own financial hardships had caused them to drastically halt production in 2008. Then in July of 2009 the company announced the return to full production of its Tango and Tango Twist brands of travel trailers and fifth-wheels. The surge in manufacturing activity has also buoyed development on several projects.
For model years 2012/2013 Pacific Coach Works is releasing their all new Econ ultra-lite travel trailer which can include a garage in back of unit to carry your ATV or motorcycle. MSRP is around $12,000, making it an affordable trailer for those that are looking for a new light weight trailer without a big price tag. According to Jeff Daily, General Manager, “This unit is in high demand because of high gas prices, ease of towing and will fill a void in our product line-up.” The company is excited about breaking into the ultra-lite market, and we will probably see more units being produced by Pacific Coach Works in the future, as demand for affordable ultra-lite trailers continues to grow.
