This small company builds quite the ultra-light travel trailer made completely of fiberglass. Alan Smoak, owner of Smoakin Concepts Composites, started making trailers after years of experience in the pool industry. In 2000 he was getting ready to retire, though after a time Alan was inspired to embark on a new business venture. His dissatisfaction with the quality of small trailers in the RV industry led him to design a fiberglass trailer. Alan, along with his son Nicolas, operates Smoakin Concepts Composites. The Lil Snoozy is a classy little 14.5 ft. small camper under 2,000 pounds and can be pulled by a car. It has more room inside than some of its competitors, providing 6 ft. 3 in. head room, and offering customers the ability to customize a trailer for their own personal camping needs. Smoakin Concepts Composites builds each trailer for their customer’s needs so you are involved in every aspect of your purchase. They have different options and the weight comes in around 1,900 lbs. depending on options selected.
The aerodynamic design looks similar to the front of an airplane. They use fiberglass-insulated foam between fiberglass and the frames are galvanized. This small trailer can be stored in a one-car garage. Multiple floor plans allow for the sleeping of two, three or four people. You can also design it to haul the toys you might want to take along camping. This little camper is economical and yet is easy on the gas mileage as well.
